Did you ever want to open a warm and cozy little cafe in a quaint town? That's what Kristina Creighton did. She was the chef-owner of Kristina's Kitchen in Rochester, Vermont for about four years, after having a varied career in many areas of cooking and food preparation. It was the first natural, organic and locally-sourced restaurant in the middle of the Green Mountains. She loves to find, create and cook new recipes, scouring flea markets for cookbooks to add to her collection of more than five thousand cookbooks. For eight years she wrote and published a cooking newsletter called the Practical Palate, and self-published a cookbook of many of its recipes. She taught cooking and has done catering and taught classes, and she spent several years demonstrating high-end kitchen appliances.She is now a personal chef, and sells her spice blends and salad dressing, and her cookbooks, online and at farmers markets. This cookbook contains many of the recipes from the Practical Palate Cooking Newsletter.
